Actors who volunteers will receive more than just the satisfaction of scaring people. Our Haunt family is a group of fun, supportive and talented individuals. You need no prior experience to participate.
Nightmares on Elk Street volunteers receive:
- Valuable Community Service/Volunteer hours
- Work Experience and resume reference.
- Opportunity to build leadership skills
- Free Dinner, Snacks and refreshments provided when the Haunt is open
- A pair of free tickets to bring in family/friends
- An opportunity to give back to our community through Elk Charities like Holiday Food Baskets.
- Training opportunities to build skills in acting, make-up and set building.
Volunteers age 14 and over are welcome to participate. Please note, all volunteers are required to print and complete these forms prior to being accepted.
For those under 18, an additional signature from a parent or legal guardian is required. For your safety, and ours, Nightmares on Elk Street will perform a background screen on all potential applicants. Please have a photo ID available when you come to your first meeting.
We recommend if you are under 18 a parent or legal guardian attend the first orientation meeting with you.
All orientations are held at the Vancouver Elks Lodge 823 located at 11605 SE McGillivray Blvd. Vancouver WA 98683.
Attention volunteer cast members, make-up artists, design and set builders, and backstage help. We have a new and exciting opportunity this year to gain acting skills for 2019 Nightmares on Elk Street Haunted house with Spring, Summer, and Fall workshops. Pick one of these Casting call dates and come join our growing community. Please bring your completed forms and if you are under 18 your parent or guardian is encouraged to attend the casting call prior to the workshop.
Casting call only needs to be attended one time. You are welcome to attend the Actor/Set workshops more than one time.
ONLY ONE casting call is required to attend. You are welcome and encouraged to attend more than one workshop. If you are a returning cast member you will need to complete the new forms and bring photo ID with you. Please bring completed forms and if you are under 18 your parent or guardian is encouraged to attend the casting call.
Cast training/Dress rehearsal
For returning staff and new staff who have received a call-back, Dress rehearsal and final cast training event is mandatory
